Makes: 6 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of stew meat (cut into 1-inch cubes)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- Salt and black pepper (optional, to taste)
- 2 cups water
- 2 tsp. beef bouillon
- 1 garlic clove (finely chopped)
- 3 carrots (sliced)
- 3 potatoes (diced)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 celery stalk(sliced)
- Herbs (e.g. bay leaf, basil, and oregano as desired)
Directions
- Place meat in a slow cooker.
- Mix the flour, salt, and black pepper in a medium bowl, and pour over the meat. Stir to coat.
- Add the remaining ingredients and stir to mix.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or high for 4 to 6 hours.
- Stir the stew thoroughly before serving. If using a bay leaf, discard before serving.
